Seiko Prospex watches are designed for sports lovers and adventure seekers whether in the water, in the sky or on land. Since launching Japan’s first diver’s watch in 1965, Seiko’s innovative technology has changed global dive watch standards. The case and design of this timepiece draw inspiration from Seiko's 1968 diver's watch. Modern additions are wider hands and Lumibrite for high legibility even in dark water, with 200 metre water-resistance and anti-reflection coated sapphire crystal glass for strength and durability. Zaratsu polishing on the case side is an eye-catching finish. The accordion-style silicone strap combines high durability and comfort - a strap design invented by Seiko in 1975 as a practical solution to the expansion and contraction of a diver's wrist at different depths.
